We round up 3 things to do with kids this weekend in London with The Weekender
THE BOX OF DELIGHTS
One of my favourite books as a child has now been turned into a magical stage adventure at Wilton’s.
It stars Matthew Kelly and Josefina Gabrielle in what is a world premiere production of John Masefield’s novel. Get your skates on as there’s limited availability between now and the end of the show’s run in January.
DOGS IN JUMPERS
Yes you read correctly. If you head to The Pear Tree Cafe in Battersea Park on Sunday morning you will be greeted by hundreds of dogs in their Christmas jumpers, all raising money for Save The Children. It’s organised by Borrow My Doggy and is free to register as they’re aiming for a World Record at 2.30pm.
Starts 1pm on Sunday
GREENWICH WINTER TIME FESTIVAL
A festival that seems to have it all, minus the crowds as there is timed entry. We say ho ho ho to that!
Inclusive of the festival entry price for each 3 hour session is an amazing on ice skating performance by world class freestylers; up to 6 shows including live music, theatre, children shows, DJ’s on a mirrored stage; a silent disco; street performers; stunning surroundings of the Old Royal Naval College, the Thames and over 500 Christmas trees; a Winter Market; food and drink.
To add to your festival experience, you can choose to go ice skating or visit Father Christmas and his Greenwich launch pad, a truly magical experience for all the family.
