Theatre shows, art and mindfulness, yes it’s another Friday Five roundup for the coolest families in town. Which activity will you be adding to the top of your weekend to-do list? 

 

1.  ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER’S CINDERELLA

You shall (finally) go to the ball as Andrew Lloyd Webber’s much-anticipated Cinderella begins its West End run at the Gillian Lynne Theatre.

2. MUSIC AND MINDFULNESS WITH SPITALFIELDS MUSIC

MUSIC AND MINDFULNESS

Immerse yourself in a creative Music and Mindfulness workshop and find your family’s inner calm.

Led by a percussionist and a mindfulness practitioner from Spitalfields Music, the workshops will take you and your little ones on a relaxing musical journey.

The sessions run on Saturday July 3rd at Westferry Circus. There are three workshops running throughout the day to suit different ages.

3. ROLLER NATION FAMILY JAM

ROLLER NATION FAMILY JAM

Get your skates on and head down to the Roller Nation Family Jam, taking place every Saturday.

With a live DJ and a Roller Bar serving drinks and snacks to your own booth, enjoy an alternative family day out rollerskating. Or why not even mark a birthday or special event with a skating session?

The sessions are for ages 5 to 14 and all groups must be accompanied by an adult. Under 5s will not be permitted entry.

4. FAMILY SATURDAYS ONLINE WITH STUDIO 3 ARTS

FAMILY SATURDAYS

Get arty at Family Saturdays, free online workshops for all ages from Studio 3 Arts.

Running over the summer, the virtual creative classes will cover a different theme each week. Artist Connor Bowmott will lead the live family workshops.

5. NATURE ELLY AT THE LITTLE ANGEL THEATRE

Theatre-loving preschoolers can meet puppet animals and join in the slapstick fun at the Little Angel Theatre’s latest show Nature Elly.

Elly, who owns the best farm in Lincolnshire, is having a bit of trouble. The apples have disappeared, the corn has been trampled and there is hay everywhere. Now, help Elly and Bob the Pheasant find out what is going on and try to save the harvest in time.
