To celebrate the 50th anniversary of this iconic design, we’re giving you the chance to win a Stokke Tripp Trapp Chair worth £219.
THIS COMPETITION IS NO LONGER RUNNING
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the iconic Tripp Trapp chair. Designed in Norway by Peter Opsvik, and launched in 1972, millions of children around the world have since enjoyed a seat at the table. When Tripp Trapp® was first introduced, it revolutionized the entire children´s seating category. Brilliant in its simplicity, it could be comfortably used at every stage of childhood and beyond. And now you could win a cult Stokke Tripp Trapp Chair.
Peter Opsvik’s most important contribution to furniture design has been developing chairs that inspire the user to move and vary their posture while sitting. Tripp Trapp®, is even in the permanent collection at MOMA in New York, Design Museum and Victoria and Albert in London and The Vitra Museum in Germany. His ambition, when designing the Tripp Trapp® chair in 1972, was to make one chair that could comfortably seat all ages at the same table. By reducing the height difference between small children and their parents and allowing them to sit together at eye level, families would find it easier to interact, making life around the table more enjoyable.
Though times have changed, the mystery of being a new parent hasn´t. By sitting together at the table with their families, children have been able to connect with the people that care about them most. It’s this connection that allows parent and child to get close, communicate and figure it out together. Marking this occasion, Stokke have released a limited-edition collection, including Tripp Trapp Ash Mixed, Ash White and Tripp Trapp Cushion 50th Anniversary.
Over the years, the Tripp Trapp® has gained over 10,000 5-star reviews and countless celeb fans from Kim Kardashian, Jessica Alba, Cristiano Ronaldo, Stacey Solomon, Mrs Hinch, Joe Wicks, Vogue Williams. Now it’s your chance to win!
