We have some awesome half term treats as well as a roundup of 20 of the best things to do with kids in London this February.


Inspired by the beauty and biodiversity of Cameroon, Kew Garden’s Orchid Festival is a celebration of colour and warmth sure to brighten up these winter months. (Feb 4 – Mar 5) 


Travel to a magical forest full of mirth, live music and marvellous creatures with Little Bulb’s show Hibernation.(Feb 14-18)


Dance the day away with your mini party people at the Circus Family Rave, featuring a multi-sensory circus-themed dancefloor with glitter cannons, bubbles, giant balloons and a parachute dance finale. (Feb 26)


Join Jack, a brave young girl who embarks on a giant adventure when she sells the family cow in return for magic beans at Jack V Giant at Polka Theatre. (Feb 11 – Mar 26)


The award-winning dance adaptation of The Little Prince returns for a tour, making a London stop at  Watford Palace Theatre. (Feb 11 – 12)


Enter the wonder-filled world of Flavourscapes, which will transform Glasshouse Street near Piccadilly Circus into an outdoor experimental street market. (Feb 17 to 18)


Drop in for a few hours to Merton Live or stay all day for lots of live stage shows and family fun, from gymnastic displays to dance routines and musical performances. (Feb 5) 


Gather the family for an interactive Family Storytelling of Romeo and Juliet, The Winter’s Tale, or Macbeth, led by the Globe Theatre’s actors, teachers and directors. (Feb 12 to Apr 15)

Adapted from the picture book by Janet and Allan Ahlberg, see the beloved characters from Burglar Bill come to life at the Lyric Hammersmith. (Feb 14 – 18)

Unlock your creativity at the Southbank’s Imagine Children’s Festival, with over 100 events taking place over 11 days. On the packed agenda is children’s theatre, literature, comedy, music, dance and even a giant yoga class. (Feb 8 -18)


Welcome to the splash zone at The Flying Bath, featuring a gang of quirky bath toys on an adventure of a lifetime at the Little Angel Studios. (Feb 11 – Apr 23)


Set sail on an awesome adventure aboard the Cutty Sark at their Family Weekend, featuring creative sailor workshops, giant board games and sea shanty sing-alongs. (Feb 4-5)


Step back in time with Brick Dinos at the Horniman Museum. Explore the Jurassic and Cretaceous Periods and meet dinosaurs and other prehistoric giants, all made from lego, face to face. 


Hear the fantastical stories surrounding Alexander the Great. Then create, design and build with authors, artists, musicians, dancers and storytellers at the British Library’s Family Day. (Feb 15)


Escape to the great outdoors and learn about animals that hibernate at Hever Castle’s Emerging Nature. (Feb 11-19)
