Yes, you heard right! Swiss chocolate bliss this Easter

Renowned for its awe-inspiring mountaintops, charming villages and world-famous chocolate, Switzerland is the perfect place to hop to this Easter; and for those travelling with younger ones, the luxurious Grand Resort Bad Ragaz is an enviable bolthole. With decadent Easter buffets, chocolate massage, magical Easter egg hunts and inspiring walks through the Alpine hillside, the luxury wellness resort offers an exceptional Easter escape.

As part of its Easter celebrations, Grand Resort Bad Ragaz will be offering a special Easter buffet for guests on Sunday 9th April, where an array of indulgent dishes will be available, including traditional Easter favourites like the ‘Eastercake’ and local specialties such as cheese, cured meats, nutcakes, and dairy products from local farmers.  Other dining options at the resort include Swiss Alpine fine-dining at Memories, which was recently awarded its third Michelin star; and traditional cheese fondue at restaurant, Zollstube, where a Gold Fondue with champagne and gold-leaf can be enjoyed!

Guests can expect spectacular Easter-themed decorations throughout the resort – and, if last year’s giant chocolate Easter egg display is anything to go by, where 70kg of chocolate was used with each egg weighing 25kg, this year’s display is set to be just as magnificent!

Children of all ages can also take part in an exciting Easter egg hunt, which begins in the hotel’s grand lobby, where guests receive a map and a basket to collect their eggs. The hunt takes guests on a journey through the hotel’s beautiful gardens, where they will discover hidden eggs of all shapes and sizes, filled with sweet treats and prizes. The eggs are expertly hidden among the flowers, trees, and bushes, making the hunt a true adventure!

After the hunt, guests can take advantage of the Swiss health and wellness resort’s spa facilities, including the dedicated Family Spa. Young explorers can enjoy the adventure showers and water games, before being pampered with a choice of mini-treatments for little ones, including a Bling Bling Fingers manicure, Happy Feet pedicure or a Funny Chocolat massage – a seriously sweet and relaxing treat! Other activities on offer include Easter arts and crafts workshops, and live music performance, making it a perfect Easter getaway for families.

For parents looking for a little respite, children can check into the ever-popular Kindervilla, the resort’s seriously cool Kids’ Club for children aged 3 years or older. Children are looked after by qualified carers and can enjoy a variety of fun activities including pizza making, table tennis, or use of a climbing wall. Over Easter, additional activities including colouring boiled eggs, animal make-up and crafting Easter-themed decorations will be offered. Away from the resort, families can venture on spectacular springtime hikes through the surrounding countryside on the Heidi Adventure Trail; gollama and alpaca trekking, followed by a  fondue dinner in the forest; or discover the mystical and magical Tamina Gorge, which supplies the resort’s thermal waters.

With decadent dining, exciting Easter eggs and an abundance of activities to take part in, families checking into Grand Resort Bad Ragaz can expect a memorable Easter escape.

Nightly rates at Grand Resort Bad Ragaz start from 1040 CHF (approx. £910) for a Family Room for 2 adults and 2 children including breakfast.
