Scamp & Dude’s Super Scarf mission gains celebrity support.
Scamp & Dude has been wrapping women in superpowers with their Super Scarves since they launched in 2022. Not just a stylish accessory, every time someone buys one of these special scarves, the company donates another to a woman with cancer. The Scamp & Dude Super Scarf mission for 2023 is to donate a scarf to every single woman starting chemotherapy in the UK, which sadly stands at around 60,000.
The campaign has already gained celebrity supporters such as Kate Thornton, Vicky McClure and Alex Jones, all keen to show their support.
Scamp & Dude’s founder, Jo Tutchener-Sharp says,
“I designed these scarves with the aim of wrapping women with cancer in a superpower infused hug, and to know we have managed to help over 10,000 women so far is just amazing. My aim is to be able to donate a scarf to EVERY woman being treated for cancer across the UK this year”.
To achieve this ambitious goal, Scamp & Dude is launching a new Super Scarf design each month.
Jo says, “We have some vibrant new Super Scarf designs launching each month. I know they will bring so much joy to both the customers that buy them and the patients who receive them”.
The Super Scarves are donated to cancer patients through various hospital partners throughout the UK.
A spokesperson from the Royal Free Hospital said of the Super Scarves initiative, “A few patients have been moved to tears by such beautiful gifts. It has been lovely to see a row of ladies in the chemotherapy unit using the scarves as shawls and all sitting there wrapped up nice and cosy”.
The new black and khaki star print Super Scarf is £40 and available on scampanddude.com and the Scamp & Dude store in Marlow. New styles will continue to launch each month throughout the year.
The Scamp & Dude Story
Founded by entrepreneur, Jo Tutchener Sharp, Scamp & Dude is a purpose led fashion brand with the power to change the way you feel.
Jo launched Scamp & Dude in 2016 after being separated from her children during a lengthy stay in hospital undergoing life- saving brain surgery. It was this brush with death that made Jo determined to give back and create a brand that helps children and adults feel more secure during the toughest of times.
With womenswear now at the forefront of the brand, Scamp
& Dude’s mission continues to be to bring joy to wardrobes through mood-boosting colours, vibrant prints and flattering fits
that make the wearer feel as well as look good, with community and giving back at its very heart.
Giving back is at the heart of Scamp & Dude. When a Super Scarf is bought, Scamp & Dude donate another to a woman with cancer or the mother of a child with cancer. Likewise, for each Superhero Sleep Buddy sold, another is donated to a child who has lost a parent or is seriously ill themselves. So far, the brand has donated over 10,000 Super Scarves, 5,200 Superhero Sleep Buddies, and over 6000 superpower infused sweatshirts to those in need, that’s 21,000 items donated to those in need over the past 6 years.
