Pepa London has unveiled a limited-edition capsule collection created in collaboration with Historic Royal Palaces, the independent charity that conserves six of the UK’s most iconic royal landmarks — from the Tower of London to Kensington Palace. Available imminently, this exclusive collection celebrates the enduring charm of royal childhood and the rich tradition of British ceremonial dress. Available at pepalondon.com, Pepa London boutiques in Belgravia and Palm Beach, and via a dedicated Harrods pop-up in Knightsbridge, the capsule invites families to dress their children not just beautifully, but meaningfully — in timeless garments inspired by centuries of royal history.

The collection was born from rare access to the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection, curated by Historic Royal Palaces and housed at Hampton Court Palace. Comprising nearly 10,000 historic garments — from gilded coronets to hand-stitched nursery wear — the archive reveals both the grandeur and intimacy of royal life through the ages. Founder and Creative Director Pepa González recalls her encounter with the collection:

“To see these dresses up close, to witness the craftsmanship and sentimental value stitched into their seams, was a privilege. We wanted to take those memories…of gardens, giggles, and childhood rituals and reimagine them through our own lens of British elegance and craftsmanship.”

Among the most evocative pieces are matching floral Liberty™ print dresses worn by Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret in the 1930s. Reimagined by Pepa London’s design team, these delicate motifs now feature in the Dress Codes exhibition at Kensington Palace and form a direct inspiration for several standout styles in the collection.

Rich in detail and romance, the capsule features vintage-inspired florals, pastel palettes, and intricate smocking — each piece hand-finished by skilled artisans in family-run ateliers. Alongside these sits Royal Mariner, Pepa’s most elevated nautical story to date, reinterpreting the iconic sailor suits worn by Queen Victoria’s children with sharp tailoring, gold piping, and crisp cottons.

Subtle nods to royal surroundings appear throughout: silk trims and soft organza evoke the formality of royal portraiture; floral embroidery reflects the symmetry of palace gardens; and every garment carries a sense of quiet ceremony, blending history with modern refinement.

Shot within the majestic grounds of Hampton Court Palace, the campaign brings the collection to life in a setting steeped in royal childhoods past – a fitting stage for garments destined to be worn, treasured, and handed down.
