Following the sell-out success of last year’s collaboration, M&S is back with a brand-new Bella Freud collection

The Bella Freud x M&S collaboration has hit the stores (and online) and we’ve picked out some of our favourites from teh collection which extends across womenswear, menswear, kidswear, home and even pets. The 43-piece collection brings Bella’s irreverent cool and playful word motifs to the whole family, just in time for Christmas.

Matching Family Pyjamas and Cosy Kids’ Jumpers

At the heart of this season’s collaboration are matching family pyjamas (which are nearly all sold out), made from soft 100% cotton sateen. Designed for babies, children and adults, they feature contrast red piping and embroidered words like Dreamers, Snuggle and Snooze – perfect for festive mornings and winter movie nights. You can still get your hands on the pure silk eye mask though!

And for little ones who love a touch of luxury, three new 100% cashmere jumpers join the kidswear line-up, emblazoned with Bella’s playful hand-drawn words Me!, Laugh and Star. Each piece delivers all the wit and stylistic charm of Bella’s iconic women’s knits, reimagined for the next generation.

Effortless Style for Grown-Ups

The womenswear collection continues to showcase Bella’s modern British aesthetic, featuring tailored velvet tuxedos, silk shirts, recycled wool coats and her cult slogan sweaters in cashmere and wool blends. The palette moves through black, navy and white, enriched with touches of burgundy, brown and bright pops of pink and green.

As Bella explains:
“This year’s collection is based on the idea of entertaining at home. You want to be a bit dressed up and feel glamorous, but you also want to feel at ease. At the centre of the collection is a velvet suit and around that, there’s wool and cashmere knitwear and silk shirts, to style it back with. I think the styling feels old school and glamorous – it’s dressing down that’s dressed up.”

The Dog Gets Dressed Up Too

No family gathering would be complete without a stylish four-legged friend. The collection includes a mini dog jumper, designed with Bella’s signature sense of humour.
As she says:
“I must tell you about the little dog jumper, which I think will make people very happy. It’s really fun to make a little garment for a dog – and they’re often hosting alongside you, so it’s only fair they dress up too.”

Homeware with Heart

New for 2025, the collaboration expands into homeware, bringing Bella’s playful touch to entertaining. Think statement serveware, dinner sets, signature scents and indulgent bedding – all designed to capture the joy of hosting.

Bella Freud comments:
“The new addition this season is homewear and when designing these pieces, I was thinking of all the things that I enjoy when I’m entertaining at home. Inviting people into your home is about taking care of them, imagining their pleasure in the things that you can provide. From feasting around the table together to the calming scent that carries you through your evening.”

Beautifully Designed, Thoughtfully Made

With prices starting from £10 for home accessories to £300 for the women’s recycled wool coat, this capsule collection offers accessible luxury for the festive season.
Kids’ knitwear is available for ages 3-10, women’s sizes 6-24, and men’s and baby sizes across the pyjama sets. Bedding runs from single to super king.

Maddy Evans, M&S Womenswear Director, says:
“After the huge success of the debut M&S X Bella Freud collection last October, it was a no brainer that we team up with Bella once again. Customers loved the collection, from the iconic word jumpers through to the classic Bella Freud tailoring styles, and this newest collection features all of those hero styles and more, whilst continuing to champion luxe fabrics including 100% silk, 100% cashmere and velvet. However, we haven’t stopped there, there’s a surprise in store because we’ve expanded the collection, introducing family PJ’s, kids, home styles, and not forgetting the dog – a real treat for customers ahead of Christmas and perfect for gifting!”
