St Andrew’s, Berkshire is a co-educational day and boarding school for children aged 2.5 to 13 years old. Just outside the popular village of Pangbourne, it’s forty minutes by train to Paddington, and only an hour by car from West London – a new weekly bus service for Monday-to-Friday boarders is now available. It’s also part of the Bradfield Group, and only 3 miles from Bradfield College, where just under a half of Year 8 leavers move on to.

As a PSB (Pre-Senior Baccalaureate) and Microsoft Showcase School, the curriculum is refreshingly forward-thinking with strong tech integration. Design and Innovation has now been introduced to the curriculum. But it’s not all VR and 3D-printing, as pupil wellbeing is a top priority and every child from Nursery upwards spends a substantial amount of time learning in the great outdoors.

Facilities at St Andrew’s are outstanding. Aside from an all-weather Astro, and 25m indoor heated swimming pool, dance studio, climbing wall and large multi-purpose sports hall, there is now the all-singing-all-dancing Performing Arts Centre (opened in June), and new Design and Innovation spaces.

Nursery now takes children from 2.5 years old and is open 48 weeks of the year. In fact, multi-activity holiday camps are available for all ages throughout the year thanks to the in-house team and external provider Next Level Camps.

Weeks are busy at St Andrew’s with opportunities a plenty. Sport, art, drama and music are firm favourites, and design and innovation will undoubtedly be a big hit too (starting this term). Co-curricular clubs change every term. Wrap-around care is available for working parents needing to drop early and pick up late.
