Discover the wonders of canal heritage and wildlife at a Canal Museum Family Fun Day.

When:  April 8 and 15, May 27, August 5, 12 and 19, 26. October 28. Boat times at 1015 1115 1215 1300 1400 1500. Open 10am to 4.30pm.

Where: Canal Museum

Ticket price: Adults ages 15 and over £10. Children ages 0 to 14 £5. If you are not going on the boat, normal admission charges apply. There is no need to book in advance and the other activities will be available. Children must be supervised by their accompanying adult at all times and cannot go on the boat alone. Boat trips must also be booked in advance online.

Bring a child to explore, create, and discover the wonders of canals at a Canal Museum Family Fun Day.

Alongside a craft workshop, families will also take a trip on a canal boat and be inspired by wildlife and habitats spotted out on the water and the living heritage of the canal. Workshops are led by a museum facilitator and all materials are provided.

Included in ticket is:

• A boat ride on a canal boat “Long Tom” (sometimes a different boat) that will take you from the museum to St. Pancras Lock and back again. Children will receive a wildlife spotter’s bag on the boat to inspire them to look closely for wildlife and to help them identify what they may see.
• Entry to the museum to complete the fun and interactive family trail around the exhibitions, including the popular ice cream role play parlour! Who will earn their sticker for completing the trail?
• A craft workshop led by museum facilitators on varied themes.
