Take your shoes off and feel the grass beneath your feet at Chelsea Physic Garden, as storyteller Sally Pomme Clayton tells the silly and interactive story – The King with Dirty Feet (Monday 25 September). Later in the week, immerse yourself in African and Caribbean legends with Natty Mark Samuels, who brings to life tales of deities, guardians, and water spirits through interactive storytelling (Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October).
At the National Army Museum, meet the incredible horses and riders of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment (30 September), and join a member of the Learning team as they walk you through the history of some strange and surprising artefacts (30 September).
Step back in time and stroll down History Street through Chelsea’s history (Saturday 30 September and Sunday 1 October). As you explore Chelsea’s past, you will meet Anglo-Saxons and hear about their lives. Soldiers of the First and Second World Wars talk about their equipment and rations, and finally, see the modern-day Regiments of the British Army.
