The Chelsea History Festival returns to inform and engage all ages about local and world history. A partnership between the National Army Museum, the Royal Hospital Chelsea and Chelsea Physic Garden, the week-long event is full of events, performances, and a whole host of other activities suitable for all ages. Learn more about the Borough of Chelsea, take a tour of the Royal Hospital, or train in medieval combat; you’re sure to find something that excites.

Founded in 2019, the Chelsea History Festival is a partnership between the National Army Museum, the Royal Hospital Chelsea and also Chelsea Physic Garden. Its aim is to entertain, educate and inspire through local and national, as well as global history.
Every year, the Chelsea History Festival brings the past to life through an immersive programme of events, featuring a brilliant blend of storytellers and performers from different walks of life.
The festival’s venues are all situated in the heart of Chelsea, along the historic Royal Hospital Road. This is the perfect place to contemplate the past and its continuing significance in our lives today.
