A haven for cheese lovers, the monthly Chiswick Cheese Market holds its biggest event to date, with demo tents, music, morris dancers, a special walking tour, live cheese making and of course yummy cheesy treats.

The market brings outstanding cheese and lovers of cheese together. There are over 150 different cheeses as well as chutney, crackers and many more cheese-related goodies.
This month’s market will be the biggest yet, with more cheese mongers and makers than ever before. There will also be demo tents, music, morris dancers, events at The George IV pub, a special walking tour, meet the cheesemakers, live cheese making, yummy cheesy eats.
Tastes of the Unexpected’ – a cheese/drink pairing masterclass. 12 noon, George IV, £35.
Prepare to be challenge your senses, this will be exciting. Mary Quicke from Quicke’s Cheddar will be sharing her very unusual tipple. Dima Deinega will also tell us why he thinks that his vodka is just the best with Comté and James Grant from No. 2 Pound St has an incredible dessert ice-cider that he thinks just rocks with Stichelton. There will also be three more intriguing couplings from Perry Wakeman, Emma Young AKA The Cheese Explorer and saké expert Yuka Caves.

‘Flavour charged cheeseboards with Patrick McGuigan’ – a true masterclass with one of the absolute masters of cheese tasting and appreciation. 2pm George IV, £30
Patrick has been writing about cheese for years, he is one of the very best with pairing flavours and this event has a fun twist – the Peter’s Yard spinning Wheel which will pick the combinations tasted and Patrick will lead us on a journey about understanding as well as building flavours on your cheeseboard.

‘Around Chiswick’ with local Blue badge guide, Guy Fairbank.
Interesting for locals and visitors alike, it will be a great walk discovering the local area and all of Chiswick’s history including the history of the name (yes it really used to be Cheesewick) and was RHS’s first every orchard.
