This April, families can hop aboard the Easter Special at Audley End Miniature Railway for a magical springtime adventure. Running daily from April 5th to 21st, the event promises interactive fun, festive storytelling, and hands on activities for children of all ages.

The journey begins with a train ride through the woods, where young detectives will help ‘Shearlock Holmes,’ the world’s greatest sheep detective, solve the mystery of the missing Easter eggs, alongside the Easter Bunny and farmyard friends. Each child will also receive a springtime souvenir to take home.

The fun continues with carrot planting at the potting shed, a walk through the Fairy and Elf Trail, and lively entertainment at the Stage Show, where a mischievous Fox will lead games and storytelling. Families can also enjoy the adventure play area and seasonal treats at the Woodland Café.

Tickets go on sale from February 4th, with Autism and SEN-friendly sessions available.

By car

There is a large, woodland car park which is a 5-minute walk to the admissions area. There is also an accessibility car park just outside of our admissions area. There is no charge for car parking.

By bus

The nearest bus stop is outside Saffron Walden County High School, approximately 1/2 mile from the Railway.

By train

The nearest train station is Audley End, 1.6 miles / 2.6 km from the Railway. It is walkable but along a busy main road and the footpath is not ideal for a wheelchair or pram. It is possible to get a taxi from the train station to the Railway.
