Celebrate summer at The Royal Institution’s Family Fun Day BIG Science – an event full of a variety of science topics, shows and activities.

When: July 19. 11am to 4pm

Age: Suitable for ages 7to 12, though older and younger siblings are very welcome. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and those aged 4 and above need a ticket to attend.

Ticket price: £16 (Standard) / £10 (Concessions) / Ri Members and Patrons free (but you still need to book a ticket)

Gather with science communicators, volunteers, scientists and researchers from across the UK to share their knowledge and expertise.

In true RI fashion, you’ll explore activities and demonstrations throughout the building and also enjoy shows in the theatre.

All activities and talks run throughout the day, giving you plenty of time to see all the talks and try out all the activities. There is sometimes a queue when we first open, so you might find it easier to arrive a little later. Most people stay for about two hours, but you’re welcome to stay as long as you like.
