From wassailing to the winter solstice, ‘kissing boughs’ to proper mince pyes, the Globe Theatre’s Festive Family tour will enchant, fascinate and warm even in the frostiest of weather. But do still wrap up well – don’t forget that the wooden ‘O’ is outdoor.

The full tour route around the theatre does include steps, but you are welcome to bring a pram into the ground level of the auditorium. Baby changing facilities will be open and available as normal.

Shakespeare called his theatre a ‘wooden O’ and like his historic playhouse the Globe Theatre is a 360° auditorium. With no roof over the central yard, the theatre is open-air and audiences who attend performances and tours are told to dress for the weather! Events will go ahead in rain, shine and snow.
