Halloween is in the air at the Half Term Workshops at the Foundling Museum, featuring lantern-making, puppetry and spooky animation.

When: October 29 to November 1. 11am to 1pm and 2 to 4pm

Where: Foundling Museum

Age: 5 to 12 years old.

Ticket price: Adult plus Child £10, additional child £5, additional adult £5. Free for Camden residents and listed concessions. Tickets also include free entry to the Museum.

Tuesday 29 October | Haunted House Lanterns

Create a haunted house lantern inspired by the Foundling Museum. Once you’ve made your lantern join other families in an eerie procession through the atmospheric Museum galleries. At the end of the session you can also take your lantern home to show to family and friends, and light on Halloween.

Wednesday 30 October | Spooky Shadow Animation

Create your own scary shadow puppet then use lightboxes to tell a haunted animated story. At the end of the workshop, come together to watch the animations and celebrate your creativity. You’ll also get to take your shadow puppet home to show it off to family and friends, and maybe spook them on Halloween.

Thursday 31 October | Moving Monsters

Make a moving puppet monster with artist Laura X Carle. How many arms will your monster have? Will you make it growl or run by pulling the strings? At the end of the session, you’ll also be able to take your puppet home so you can scare your family and friends.

Friday 1 November | Halloween Hand Puppets

Join artist Christina Rose Brown to make a Halloween hand puppet from felt. When your puppet is ready, act out a ghostly story in the Halloween puppet theatre.
