London’s biggest free outdoor arts festival – Greenwich+Docklands Festival – is back, filling Greenwich, Newham and Thamesmead with theatre, circus, dance and art installations from over 25 international companies, all under this year’s theme, We Move.

Highlights include the opening spectacle 360 in Woolwich, immersive outdoor theatre Efectos Especiales at Greenwich Peninsula, and the audio-visual installation Nature Speaks in Thamesmead. Families can head to Greenwich Fair in Greenwich Park for theatrical fun, while Dancing City brings a day of alfresco dance to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. With free entry across the programme, GDIF 2026 is a great excuse for a day out with the kids this summer.
