Anyone who’s ever dreamed of being a knight can learn more about what life was like for them with Hands on Armour: Saturday Knight Live. The Wallace Collection presents a special drop in family session, giving you the chance to touch and wear some armour yourself. Armoured demonstrations show off just how important it was to have, and might just inspire a few more knight fantasies in both big and little ones.

We encourage families to learn and also play together. At the museum, take part in our monthly Hands On Armour sessions that combine handling real armour with creative workshops as well as storytelling.
What was it like to be a medieval knight? Join us on August bank holiday weekend with Hands on Armour: Saturday Knight Live to find out. Enjoy live armoured demonstrations and try on real and replica armour, with the help of our Hands on Armour volunteers.
Places are limited and allocated first-come, first-served on the day. For ages 5 and up.
Sessions will be supported by a British Sign Language interpreter.
