Event Details

Take part in the Kuchipudi Indian Dance Workshop at the V&A, inspired by their Great Mughal exhibition.

When: March 15 and April 26. Each workshops is approximately 40 minutes long. Each session will include an introduction and performance of 10 minutes followed by 30 minutes where participants will take part in an interactive workshop. Sessions start at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00.

Where: V&A Museum

Age: 5 plus. This is a families event for adults to take part in with their children. No child can be left unattended. 

Ticket price: Free drop-in session. This event is likely to be very popular, so capacity will be limited. Please allow some extra time to queue for a space.

Join dancer Arunima Kumar to experience Kuchipudi, one of the most famous dances in India’s history. 

Watch a short performance, then have a go as a family. Arunima will also guide you to try the dance for yourselves. Follow the rhythm, learn some movements and get inspired by South Asian stories and colourful costumes.
