Christmas has arrived in London! From 5th November to 2nd January, visitors can ride Mail Rail at The Postal Museum with a festive twist.

Visitors can also see the museum’s Christmas collection of greeting cards by Black British makers, exhibited in the main gallery and the family-friendly exhibition Dressed to Deliver.

The Mail Rail at The Postal Museum is a unique underground railway that was once used to transport mail beneath the streets of London. This miniature railway system ran from 1927 to 2003. It linked sorting offices and kept mail flowing across the city independently of road traffic. Now restored, visitors can ride on it and explore interactive exhibits about its history, gaining insight into its engineering, significance, and role in keeping London’s mail system running smoothly.
