Discover Material World, a festival of art, fashion and horticulture inside the stunning Temperate House.

This thought-provoking exhibition dives into the fascinating connections between textiles, plants and sustainability, exploring the hidden stories behind everyday materials.

Wander through five unique areas featuring visionary artists, designers and researchers:

• Experience Nnenna Okore’s monumental pieces that transform organic materials into captivating works of art.
• Explore the living origins of textiles through Lottie Delamain’s vibrant horticultural installation.
• Reflect on sustainable fashion’s future with innovative displays curated by London College of Fashion, UAL.
• Uncover the history of cotton with Michael McMillan’s immersive audio-visual experience.
• Celebrate traditional crafts and Indigenous knowledge in the League of Artisans.

Drawing from Kew’s renowned scientific collections, Material World explores the intertwined threads of nature, culture and creativity, and allows us to discover how we can all wear a more sustainable future.
