More information from organisers:

Learn about the resilience of plants through poetry, science and storytelling workshops at Plants and Poems. Discover the history of our Museum’s home as Covent Garden’s former flower market, and learn how plants may be the answer to many of our future problems.

Storytelling sessions (Drop-in session for 0-7 year olds)

Explore the difference a single seed can make. Take part in a fun storytelling session sharing how plants make our city happier and healthier. From giving shade in the summer to helping prevent flooding in winter, each seed grows to bring a positive change to London. Then get creative and decorate your own plant pot. You’ll receive a seed to take home and plant in it.

Creative writing workshop (Drop-in session for 7-11 year olds)

Create a piece of poetry or prose celebrating our relationship with plants. Then consider how the resilience of plants and their perseverance can inspire us to think positively about our future.
