Join an intrepid storytelling explorer on a journey through some of the goldwork held in the National Army Museum’s collection with the Tale of the Golden Thread tour.

Age: Tours are suitable for children aged 5+. All children participating must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Tale of the Golden Thread is an immersive storytelling experience for all the family.

Join explorer Lauren as she embarks on a mission to unlock the secrets of the National Army Museum. Guided by the mysterious and mischievous Goldie and her magical golden thread, help Lauren to decode the clues and travel through time to unlock the hidden treasure. 

Family drop-in activities are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

The museum’s galleries are full of fascinating objects, surprising stories and interactive fun for all the family.

While at the museum, visit play base, an immersive experience for children aged 8 or under, offering a variety of fun and engaging activities. Whether your child wants to take on the soft play assault course, climb aboard a truck or prepare scoff in the cookhouse, Play Base lets every child shine.
