THE GIRL AND THE RAVEN ONLINE SHOW
Watch a digital theatre adaptation of the Icelandic folk legend The Girl and The Raven, a show all about kindness and helping others in need.
The story is based on events surrounding a huge landslide in Vatnsdalur in Iceland in 1545. Thirteen people died when the farm of Skíðastaðir was destroyed. But, according to tradition, one young girl survived in the most extraordinary way. The Handbendi productions uses puppets and music to bring the traditional tale alive.
Watch the short show online for free on the Little Angel Theatre YouTube channel. The show is available to watch until January 2022. And you can make a donation to the theatre while they remain closed.
Handbendi is a professional puppetry and theatre company based in Northwest Iceland. Greta Clough is the creative producer of Handbendi. She is an award winning performer, director, and playwright. And she is the former Associate Artist of Little Angel Theatre with over a decade of experience creating original theatre.
