The Royal Ballet’s Cinderella is a beloved fairytale that captivates audiences with stunning stagecraft, mesmerising design and flawless choreography. It is a perfect family masterpiece for the festive season.

Originally premiering on December 23, 1948, with celebrated dancers Moira Shearer and Michael Somes, Ashton’s adaptation of the Royal Ballet’s Cinderella brought new life to Charles Perrault’s classic rags-to-riches story, beautifully set to Sergey Prokofiev’s transcendent score. This season, Royal Ballet Principals Mayara Magri and Anna Rose O’Sullivan debut as Cinderella, alongside Cesar Corrales, Calvin Richardson, Marcelino Sambé, and Joseph Sissens as The Prince. Fumi Kaneko and William Bracewell will perform the lead roles in the live Cinema relay on December 10.

The Royal Ballet’s Cinderella is a collaboration between The Royal Ballet and the National Ballet of Canada.
