V FOR VENDETTA: BEHIND THE MASK EXHIBITION AT THE CARTOON MUSEUM

Explore the cultural impact of iconic comic V for Vendetta with an exhibition at the Cartoon Museum.

V for Vendetta: Behind the Mask charts the incredible rise of the comic from graphic novel to hit film to a global symbol of protesting – the V mask.

Included in the display are loans from Warner Bros as well as original artwork, covers and costumes. There are 36 artworks by comic illustrator David Lloyd, displayed with the original mask worn by Hugo Weaving in the hit 2005 film, one of only three that were used during production.

The exhibition runs from Tuesday May 18th when the museum reopens to Sunday October 31st.

The Cartoon Museum will open on Tuesday to Sunday from 1030am to 5.30pm with a later closing time of 8pm on Thursdays. Booking is not necessary. Adult tickets are £8.50, students are £3 and under 18s go free.  For more information check the museum’s website.
