Running order
11.30am: Welcome and Warm-Up
Join multi award-winning carbon-neutral theatre company Pigfoot Theatre for a fun and energising workshop to warm up your bodies and voices.
12 noon: Introduction to Writing Poetry with Joshua Seigal
Take part in an engaging and inspiring workshop with poet Joshua Seigal as he introduces you to different ways you can find inspiration to write your own poems about the environment. Plus, he performs some of his own work for you to enjoy.
1.15pm: Stories from the Rainforest
Storyteller Wendy Shearer weaves together traditional African and Caribbean folk tales that celebrate the power and potency of nature. Featuring performer and musician TuuP and illustrator Kremena Dimitrova.
2.15pm: The Earth Makes No Sound Singing Workshop
Get involved in an inclusive singing workshop with Filament Theatre inspired by their show The Earth Makes No Sound, which explores the elements and the changes happening to our planet. Led by Osnat Schmool and Sabina Netherclift.
3.30pm: Bedtime Story
Finish your day at London Literature Festival with a bedtime story read by Timberlina, the World’s No. 1 Environmentally-Friendly Bearded Drag Lady.
All workshops are suitable for all levels of experience and ability, and parents and guardians are welcome and encouraged to participate.
