For its tenth edition, the Winter Lights 2026 festival will follow the theme of DREAMSCAPE, taking visitors on a journey through surreal, ethereal and uniquely human experiences, transforming Canary Wharf into a landscape of discovery and possibility.

A map will be available to download. This will help guide you around the installations. You’ll also be able to pick one up from event stewards when you arrive.

Winter Lights began in 2015 featuring just six small-scale installations, and thanks to the audience, artists and Canary Wharf’s commitment to art and culture, that pocket of ambition has been allowed to grow into one of the most established light art festivals in the UK.

Over the previous 9 editions, 160 installations have been exhibited from visionary artists across the world, bringing our communities closer to culture, and lighting up those January blues. Joining the artist line-up are nine pieces from the permanent collection, five of which were purchased following their debut in a Winter Lights festival, so you can enjoy the legacy of previous editions all year round. To mark the tenth edition, organisers have commissioned artist Anna Lomax to design a limited-edition poster embodying the theme of DREAMSCAPE. The poster will be available to purchase on-site during the festival dates.
